My dog is peeing herself and confused. Can I give her OTC medicine?

My dog is very incoherent and is peeing on herself, can I give her estrogen meds and can I buy them over the counter? Or incurin meds?

You cannot buy these medicines over the counter. Please do not give your dog these medicines unless they are prescribed by a veterinarian. Your dog may have a behavioral issue or a urinary tract infection or a kidney infection. These medications will not cure this. They will only work with estrogen-dependent incontinence. Please take your dog to your veterinarian for an exam and urinalysis and possibly blood tests. Your veterinarian will then prescribe the proper medication.

    Symptoms that severe should be seen by a veterinarian or emergency clinic immediately. She could have diabetes, some kind of neurological condition, a urinary tract disorder, there are a number of possibilities. I don't recommend giving any kinds of medications without first consulting with a veterinarian. Medicating without a diagnosis can mask symptoms the vet needs in order to effect a proper diagnosis and treatment.
