Why is my house-trained dog peeing inside after moving?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 5 years and 8 months old | 100 lbs

I just recently moved my dogs back into my house after 2 years living in my dad's house. My male dog Marley, 5 years old has been peeing on stuff such as my sister's bed, a bag of clothes, and his dog bed. He is house trained and has been going outside for trips to the bathroom at least every 4-6 hours. There is also a female cat in the house, and my other dog also a female. Do you have any suggestions? The cat also pees frequently in areas other than her litter box.

Moving house can be a very stressful time for pets and he is likely reclaiming his territory. I recommend confining him to one room at a time and starting all of them on a calming supplement such as kalm aid
