If she wasn’t handled much as a young hamster then it may be hard for her to feel safe with a human. Always have a treat for her, and move slowly. Unfortunately she may never be very social. Just keep trying and being patient.

It is a lot to explain so I have just linked this article for you on how to tame your hamster: http://www.yourpethamster.com/care/taming Also, it will help to tame her by using very tasty treats that she likes. I would suggest these: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=31773 Hope this helps.

I would recommend starting with offering Beauty a treat that only you give her. You can place this treat in her cage and slowly start moving it closer to the opening. Also you can put the treat on your had and allow her to eat it and climb off. After she has started to realize she is getting a yummy treat she might allow you to hold her and start playing with her more. I would recommend trying that first before getting another hamster because they might not get along
