Looks like Sunny is having a fungal infection quite like ringworm. I am a MD and I can get acces to medications. I just wanted to know which antifungals are used for dermatophytosis in cats and what's the dosage? We are currently applying Clotrimazole topical ointment on the lesions, but I suppose systemic medications are needed.

Hi there and thanks for posting. I would recommend taking Sunny into her veterinarian to confirm the suspected ringworm. This will be done through cytology and a fungal culture. If your veterinarian believes the lesion is ringworm and it is confirmed through diagnostic testing, then Sunny may need to be on a topical and oral anti fungal medication safe to use in cats. Unfortunately, I cannot make drug recommendations and drug dosage information legally over the internet. My best advise to have Sunny seen by her veterinarian. Thank you again for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
