Why is my dog's belly huge and bulging but she acts normal?

My dog’s tummy has been huge and bulging out from the sides. It is big, and grows, but it’s more visible on the sides.She eats normally, and goes to the bathroom normally, and acts normally, she just can’t use the stairs well,I’m guessing she can’t carry the weight. We give her pumpkin in the morning,and it helps with here feces, but her tummy is still super big. Pet's info: Dog | Pekingese | Female | unspayed | 15 lbs

Hi. Without more history and signalment, it is hard to say. It could be excess food, parasites, foreign body, muscle loss/changes, or many more. You will need her to go to your veterinarian tomorrow and have radiographs and a fecal check. Good luck.
