Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Female | spayed | 9 months and 1 day old | 50 lbs
So my dog hasn’t been too hungry to eat for about 3 days, she eats but goes back and forth to finish it. She usually gets excited when it comes to feeding time. Took her to the vet the other day and asked about it and they said it’s normal for her age to kind of get tired or not get hungry as much. Today she threw up her food, is that something to worry about? She also ate her poop today, maybe that’s why she threw up? Other than that, she runs and plays like her normal self.

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach to address your concerns! What you are describing could indicate a dietary indiscretion and maybe this is causing her to have some indigestion. This could also lead to a decreased appetite with stomach indigestion. If she is playing normally and energy level is normal, I would recommend switching her food. I would recommend either Science Diet, Royal Canin, Purina One or Natural Balance and choose a novel protein (a meat protein that nani has never had before such as Salmon or Venison). If the vomiting worsens, I would recommend bringing her back to the veterinarian and having blood work performed and possibly abdominal x-rays to make sure there is not a foreign body in the stomach causing these symptoms. It is not normal for a dog to vomit so if this continues, she needs to have additional testing done as recommended above. I hope this helps! I would also recommend using a product called Purina Fortiflora, which is a probiotic. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns that I can help you with.
