Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Longhair | Male | unneutered | 2 months old | 2.1 lbs

My 9 week old kittens belly feels bloated today. He was treated for fleas and given a dewormer on tuesday(4 days ago)while we were waiting for his fecal sample to come back.It was negative.i didn't look at his stool until today once I noticed his belly feels bloated and so I have nothing to compare it too and I don't know if this is normal or not. There is little white dots in there but I don't see any worms.Could he have gotten worms AFTER he was treated?eating/drinking normal. Energy level high

This does not look like worms, & kittens often look a bit bloated as their bodies develop. With his energy levels high, & he is eating & drinking well, I would not be too concerned. Just be sure he receives his kitten vaccination boosters on time, & receives additional wormer at that time, too. Take care & thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
