Why does my pitbull have sudden red bumps, dry testicles, diarrhea?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 3 months old | 55 lbs

All of the sudden my 4 year old pitbull developed small red bumps, almost like hives all over his back and inside his hind legs. Also his testicles are super dry and reddish and he has diahrrea. He is eating and drinking plenty of water. What could be the problem? Literally, this all developed over night.

They could be hives. Commonly insect stings or spider bites can cause a hypersensitivity reaction that can cause hives and sometimes gastrointestinal problems as well. I see that you posted this 15 min or so ago- if he isn’t starting to improve or if you see any facial swelling then I would encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon.
