It could just be from something in his diet. If it continues and/or he has any diarrhea then he should be examined by a vet for a work-up. Your vet can run lab-work to determine if any treatment is needed. You could also add a probiotic, like Fortiflora or Proviable to his diet and see if that helps.

    This could be simply the way his body is digesting the food you are feeding especially if you are changing foods or trying different flavors or types of canned food. It could also indicate intestinal parasites. You could take a poop sample into your vet for them to run a fecal to ensure there are no worms. Also, This could indicate low vitamin or nutrient absorption. You can try giving a multivitamin and probiotic to see if this helps. If he is acting normally and not losing weight and none of the above suggestions are helping, I would continue to watch him closely. If anything else comes up, I would talk to your vet about running additional tests like bloodwork. I hope this helps. This is a good probiotic
