My 7-week-old puppy hasn't pooped. Is she constipated? What to do?

I just got a 7 week old puppy yesterday and she hasn't gone #2. I have training pads and everywhere she sits she leave a poop stain but doesn't go. I wiped her down with some wipes this morning and near her anal i did feel something very hard. Im not sure what to do. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

Poor Mia! Sounds like she may be constipated. Since she is so young and little, I would talk to your vet and see if they can look at her. They will be able to palpate her belly to see how much poop is in her colon and they can even give her an enema if needed. They may check for worms to ensure that isn’t the cause of this. Finally, they may give her some stool softener to help her have a bowel movement. Until you can get into the vet you can try some some canned pumpkin by mouth if you can get her to eat it. She would only need about 1/4 teaspoon twice a day. I hope this helps!
