My dog has an irritating patch on his testicles. What could it be?

my 2 year old dog has this patch on his testicals I just noticed it today this morning and seems to be irritating him any ideas on what it is? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 16 lbs

It looks like it could be a skin infection. allergic dermatitis, or some type of abrasion. You could bathe him with a dog shampoo, like Epi-Soothe, and see if that helps. Otherwise, have him examined by your vet to determine the cause and treat. He may need an antibiotic, anti-histamine, corticosteroid, or other medications to help treat the problem.
