My diabetic cat has diarrhea after diet change. Is her diabetes worse?

My cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I changed her diet about two months ago to see how much that helps before starting insulin. She just started getting some diarrhea. Is this a sign that things are getting worse? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | 7 years and 2 months old | 17 lbs

Some cats can go into remission from diabetes, however insulin it does need to be started initially at the same time as food. It doesn't work to just change to a diabetes diet. I would recommend scheduling an appointment with her veterinarian right away to do some blood testing and get her started on insulin. Good luck!
