Why is my dog's chest dry & scaly on Apoquel? Is it allergies?

My chihuahua suffers from allergies and takes Apoquel daily. His chest has been all dry and scaly and I don't know if it is from the allergies or something else. I am unsure if I should be worried and take him to the vet. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 2 years and 2 months old | 12 lbs

With a history of allergies that are currently being treated, what I am seeing in the photo is likely due to the allergies. Many times I will see skin rash formation with allergy cases. It is important to remember that apoquel does not treat allergies it alleviates the itching by blocking the itch receptors in the body. I would suggest adding an additional allergy treatments to alleviate symptoms like this. I would suggest using a shampoo such as Douxo PS calm shampoo and bathe twice weekly until resolved. I would also recommend starting welactin omega-3 fish oil and essential 6 Spot On By dermoscent. I would also recommend using a spray called malacetic conditioning spray and apply to the area until resolved.
