Why does my dog still have fleas even after using flea medication?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 9 months and 18 days old | 50 lbs

My dog still has fleas after giving him nexgaurd and Frontline how do we get rid of the fleas

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! You could try a medication called Capstar that tends to work rather quickly in killing fleas. This may help you get better control of the fleas while the other medications work. You can administer it daily until control has been achieved. This is usually quite effective.
