My dog is peeing frequently and seems to be in pain. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | spayed | 7 years and 10 months old

Daisy goes to urinate frequently and stays down for longer than she used to especially when on a walk. When at home she asks to be let out more frequently than before.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Daisy! Possible causes for her symptoms are a UTI, crystals in her urine, bladder stones are worse case a bladder or urethral tumor. I recommend catching a urine sample and making an appointment with your Vet. They can check the urine for bacteria or crystals. They may want to take an X-ray to check for bladder stones. If she has a UTI then they will prescribe antibiotics. I hope this helps and I wish Daisy a speedy recovery!
