My dog is terrified of fireworks and loud noises. What sedatives help?

My dog is very nervous around loud noises she shakes uncontrollably and heaver pants and fireworks going off at all times she is 10 years old i am worried she is going to die from stress we have tried calming tablets but they dont do anything is there a sedative to help. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 10 years and 5 months old

Poor Princess, if the calming tablets are not working I would go back to your vet and explain the seriousness of the situation. They can check her heart and weigh her, then if they are happy they may be able to prescribe acp or diazepam which should help.
