My 4-year-old cat's eyes are now speckled brown. Is this normal?

Good Day We have a 4 Year Old female cat. Recently both her eyes changed colour. The bottom half of the eyes now have a speckled brown colour as opposed to her eyes being one colour as before. Please advise as to what this could possibly be. I am trying to get an appointment with the Vet at the moment..... Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 4 years and 9 months old

Hi there and thanks for posting! Color changes to the iris (the colored part of the eye) can happen as cats age. I would not worry about the color change to brown unless the color starts looking red or swollen or irritated. If the eyes looks normal otherwise, then I wouldn't worry too much.
