Why is my cat peeing on bed after moving? Stress or outside cats?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 4 years and 1 month old | 15 lbs

Recently moved and my male cat has urinated a little on my bed 5-6 times. This only happens in the am, while I am still in bed. I use the calming spray here and there. I am thinking he is not used to new home, its been almost two months since the move. I also noticed a cat coming around outside and my cat gets angry.

It may very well be a response to the strange cat outdoors. Tigger may be displaying this marking behavior as a result. Consider a Feliway pheromone plug in diffuser around the house to decrease any anxiety or aggression. You can also use a small animal repellant along the border of your yard/property to keep the cat away. You can find a powder or liquid repellant in most hardware stores or home improvement stores. If the behavior persists, have Tigger examined by your veterinarian to diagnose UTI or kidney disease.
