My dog ate chicken. Why is her stomach extended and she's thirsty?

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Pinscher | Female | unspayed | 4 years and 11 months old | 13 lbs

My min pin stole my sons chicken breast withoit him knowing and she has not eaten anything for over 24 hours but is extreamly thirsty now it appears her stomach os extended what does this mean...she will be ok right??

It could mean a couple of different things: 1) The chicken has caused an upset stomach/intestine which is causing distention and eventually diarrhea. 2) The chicken has caused an obstruction in the stomach, or intestines. If Molly is otherwise acting normal, then it's OK to wait and see if she feels better within the next day. If she is not as active, or doesn't start eating in the next day, then it's best to take her to the vet for an evaluation. They can help determine what's wrong and at-least prescribe medication to make her feel better. I hope that helps and Molly feels better soon.
