My 7-month-old cat has diarrhea after a food change. What should I do?

Hi we gave r cat the same brand off food but a different flavour but he had got diaherre and it has lasted about 4 days now so we taken it away from him for last couple of hours but he is pooing lots . He has had all injections he is 7 months old . He is running around playing with r other cat he's not in pain . What more can we do

It is possible that the diarrhea is from the change in food, but other causes of diarrhea can include intestinal parasites, bacterial or viral gastroenteritis, GI blockage, inflammatory bowel disease, among a few others. Unfortunately there are no OTC human medications that are safe for cats with diarrhea. You can try adding in a teaspoon of canned pumpkin twice a day for extra fiber, but if the diarrhea continues in 24-48 hours or if he develops other symptoms, Bane should get checked out by a vet for treatment.
