My dog ate chicken bones. What should I do if my dog swallowed bones?

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | neutered | 6 months and 29 days old | 45 lbs

My 7 month old husky gulped down some chicken that had bones in it. Will he be ok??

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! That will depend on the size of the bones relative to his size. If the bones were small, it is possible that he will be able to pass them. Keep an eye on his stools as you may be able to see them in his stools. Keep a close eye on him for symptoms consistent with an obstruction such as nausea, vomiting, inappetence and abdominal pain. If observed, have him examined by a veterinarian as that would be an emergency. Hopefully, he will be able to pass them. Have a good night!
