My kitten has tearing eyes, sneezing, and runny nose. Is she okay?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Female | unspayed

Hello , my kitten is A 3 months old bengal and almost 3 days ago her eye started tearing a lot and sometimes I would find it half open, she's also sneezing. I've been using antibiotical eye drops for 2 days twice a day, her eye isn't getting so much better, and today she started having a runny nose, she didn't lose her appetite, she's eating and drinking normally. Should I be worried? Is she going to be ok?

She has a viral upper respiratory infection. As long as she's eating this will run its course in a week or so. If she stops eating and gets a green nasal discharge she would need antibiotics for a secondary bacterial infection. Continue with the eye medication but the eye may not fully heal until she gets over this cold. This is a common cat problem and with time she should be fine.
