Why does my dog have bloody, mucousy diarrhea for 2 days but acts normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | unneutered | 6 months and 24 days old | 49 lbs

Why does my dog have diarrhea for 2 days and with mucus in it but he is eating well and playing like normal and he had diarrhea with blood a little blood and mucus

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! In puppies, a common cause of diarrhea is intestinal parasites. They may have diarrhea but continue to eat, drink, and be merry despite an infection. Mucous and blood int he diarrhea happens when the colon and intestinal tract is inflamed. I would have Rocky get a fecal test from his veterinarian to rule out parasites or perhaps a bacterial infection. I hope this helps! Best of of luck to you and Rocky.
