My dog has neck pain when eating or touched. Is it his spine?

Well my dog when he eats goes into server pain the he gets pain when u touch him around the neck area?could it be something to do with his spine

It definitely sounds like he may have a strained muscle or a bulging disc in his neck area. I would have your vet look at him to help localize the pain, make sure he isn't having any neurological symptoms, possibly take X-rays, and prescribe him the appropriate medicine or treatment to help him feel better. I would not give him any human over the counter pain meds as most of these are toxic to dogs. I would try to get him seen asap but until then I would elevate his food bowl and confine him to a crate except to go outside to go potty. If he is showing obviously neurological signs (walking like he is drunk or dragging any limbs) then this is a true emergency and should be taking to your vet or local emergency clinic now if possible. I hope this helps and he starts to feel better soon.
