Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Male | neutered | 16 years and 2 months old | 20 lbs
My cat is 16 years old, he has had no health problems but a few weeks ago he was to have a teeth cleaning and found to have reduced kidney functions and was put on supplements which didn't help, around this time he started to gain a lot of weight but localised to around his stomach and it looked very spherical and unusual, he was eating less, two different vets said it was nothing then finally a third said he's filling with fluid maybe from a tumour and we can't do anything. Do you agree?

So sorry that Paws is having this problem. If he has free fluid in his abdomen then he could have a tumor but it could also be caused by a decreased protein level. Your vet could submit a sample of the fluid to the lab to try to determine the cause. Also an abdominal ultrasound might help diagnose the problem. Without knowing the exact cause, it is hard to determine if anything can be done to help treat the problem.
