Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. Shih tzus commonly develop a condition known as dry eye. Left untreated, corneal trauma can occur such as corneal ulcers. If this has not yet been diagnosed, I would schedule an appointment with your veterinarian to diagnose this properly so that Minnie can begin receiving the most appropriate treatment. You can use optixcare veterinary eye lube to help lubricate the eyes but you may also need to give her antibiotic eye drops or ointment. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. I am also available via consultation if needed.
