I feel like I'm just always giving treats to my puppy to manage her behavior. This is the only way I can get things done like clean the house, work, make dinner, etc. I am trying to crate train her, but again, I'm using food/treats as a way to do this. Is this healthy? When it comes to meal times I feel like she's not hungry enough for her actual puppy food which is much healthier than all the treats. But if I don't use the treats I am not able to get anything done. She does not play on her own.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I understand you completely. Treats are a perfectly ok and recommended way of improving or correcting behavior. However, it is important to not give so many that that becomes the base of the diet and nutritional intake. I would recommend limiting them a bit but mainly getting the small low calorie treats. Good luck and have a great day!
