Hi, I'm not sure what to make of the red lump on the inside of my dogs bottom eyelid. He's had it for the last 3-4 days, it hasn't gotten bigger nor has it decreased in size, its soft, skin coloured/slightly red and while it doesn't seem to cause him any pain or discomfort (he hasn't been rubbing at it or trying to scratch it) I'm worried about it being pressed up against his eye and if it's an infection or something is blocked. Would you happen to know what this is and how to treat it?

Hi and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There can be multiple causes of a swelling in the conjunctiva (tissue surrounding the eye), some of these will go away on their own and some of these require surgery. As they are "made of the same tissue" they usually don't cause irritation to the eye. They can be fluid filled or solid (soft tissue), ie Meibomian gland. There are unfortunately not any over the counter options for this. The only good option is to give it some time to go down on it's own (ie 1-2 weeks). If it does not then a thorough physical exam should be performed by your veterinarian and a diagnostic and treatment plan will be made from there. Good luck with Zack!
