My bird's poop is light green with lots of white. What's the cause?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered

My bird has recently been having changes in droppings. The feces is a light green, the urates have increased in volume and there is little to no urine in it. He is drinking regularly, so it isn't dehydration. What could this be?

Rhe could be having a change in diet or even stress levels to change her stool. I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian for a good exam to make sure she does not have an underlying issues. Birds are very good a hiding illness from us so it is best to be checked out. Hope that helps
