My dog was bred, lost pregnancy signs, and has discharge. Pregnant?

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 70 lbs

I have a gsd FEMALE 1year old...she came on heat in 11th month and i mated her with a dog. She showed signs of pregrency first month but after 35days she is not showing any signs and does not have a big belly...after 45days a clear egg white fluid is coming from vagina...is it normal? Can she be pregnant? She is really active and playfull...

The only way you are going to know for sure if she is pregnant is to take her to your vet for an exam and either an x-ray or ultrasound. The only other option is to wait until 63-65 days after breeding to see if she starts whelping. The liquid coming from the vulva is not unusual so it is not diagnostic for pregnancy. For future reference it is not recommended to breed dogs before 18 months of age and with large breed dogs it is recommended to wait until 2 years of age. So, if she is not pregnant I would consider waiting to breed her until she is older. There will be less chance of complications. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
