New kitten has red, bumpy bald spots. Is it mange or other skin issue?

Just got a kitty today and he has missing hair on his ear, his back legs, some toes, and I guess some hair kids under the stomach. (Not to much but it's red) all bald spots are red with some smooth bumps? He is them but I just don't know if it's mange or not...

Hello, & thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I am afraid it is impossible to say what may be going on with your kittens skin. We do not see mange too often in kittens, but a bacterial skin infection, fleas, or a poor diet, could certainly result in hairloss. And there is also the possibility that this could be ringworm, too. Since ringworm could be contagious to you & your family, I would advise taking the kitten to your veterinarian at your earliest convenience just to be sure. Hope all is well soon. Take care.
