Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 24 days old | 5 lbs
My kitten started acting strange a few hours ago. My boyfriend says she seemed fine, was playing with our 3 yr old cat. Then started getting super sleepy and lethargic. So I said well I mean she's a kitten probably wore herself out. But I got home and she is acting strange. Super sleepy, can barely keep her eyes open. Her nose is warm and her paws and ears feel warmer than usual. Is it common for kittens to get sick or feverish in a new environment after a little bit? Got her about 2 weeks ago.

Hello, yes they can develop some sickness. Kittens especially can develop respiratory infections. Other infections however may include intestinal parasites and other viral infections. I would recommend having kit evaluated if she continues to feel unwell tomorrow. Monitor for any sneezing, coughing, nasal or ocular discharge. Also look for any vomiting or diarrhea. Best of luck and hope this helps!!
