My puppy is three months old and he has been vaccinated. He is current on his vaccines. He has been eating and he is very playful and energetic. Is there any way he can have parvovirus??!

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! We recommend that puppies start their distemper/parvo vaccines at 8 weeks of age. they should get this vaccine every 3-4 weeks until they have had 3-4 total. The last one is good for 1 year. If Hershey has completed his puppy series then he is good for a year. If he is only 3 months old he still may need 1 or 2 more vaccines. I would check with your Vet and see if his series is complete. the parvovirus vaccine, when the dog is fully and appropriately vaccinate, is a very good vaccine and is almost 100% effective at preventing a parvovirus infection. If Hershey still needs to complete his puppy series he shouldn't be playing with unvaccinated dogs or puppies who have completed their puppy series. I hope this helps and I wish you the best!
