Sudden spot on dog's leg: Is it ringworm, spider bite, or infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 65 lbs

This just popped up on my dog. Is it ringworm? Almost seems like it could be a spider bite as well. It's close to his right back leg.

This type of lesion is unfortunately quite generic and could be compatible either with a bacterial or fungal spot of skin infection. Allergic reaction from insect bite usually creates more swelling, but is possible as well. A check up is unfortunately needed to determine underlying cause precisely and set up appropriate treatment plan.
