My cat has tapeworms. Are my kids and dog safe from infection?

My cat has tapeworm I was wondering if the seme seed things are they harmful around my kids and dog and can they get infected with tapeworm

Cats acquire tapeworms by ingesting fleas which are an intermediate host. For a person to become infected he or she must accidentally swallow an infected flea. You should inspect your cat for fleas and then treat both the cat and your house for fleas.
