My puppy is vomiting blood, lethargic, and won't eat. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Male | unneutered | 9 months and 24 days old | 15 lbs

Miniature Dachshund, 10 months old, vomiting yellow, foamy bile, lethargic, not eating or drinking, two drops of blood in last vomit. Feels like he may have a fever but am not positive. He's not been active for 3 days but vomiting started tonight. Had first round of vaccines but no others, had been wormed when purchased

This is very concerning, because he seems to have a rather severe stomach infection and possibly ulceration. They can also vomit like this and feel very bad when they have something (like chewed-up clothes or a ball) stuck in the stomach or intestine. This is not something I would wait on. Oscar needs to go to the vet to prevent life-threatening conditions like dehydration, low blood sugar and anemia (low blood count). It's best if you can get him to the vet immediately, but in the meantime, you can give pedialyte or other oral rehydration salts in his water to help prevent dehydration and low blood sugar. I hope that helps and Oscar gets better soon.
