How many meals should the dog eat per day from being a puppy until being an adult dog over 1 year. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 8 months and 25 days old | 59 lbs

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I recommend until about 4 months of age to feed three times per day (divide total daily ration in to 3). Then after 4 months divide the daily ration to twice daily, morning and night. I recommend twice daily feeding from that point on. It is not wrong to feed three times per day longer but I don't think it is necessary, unless it is a toy breed and we are worried about low blood sugar. I hope this helps!
