Why is my cat losing weight, always hungry, and throwing up foam?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Bombay | Male | neutered | 5 years and 6 months old | 13 lbs

My cat has lost weight overtime and he's always hungry. He puked a hair all today but after that he Ike's maybe 10 more times small amounts of white foam. A couple times there was food in it and some color that wasn't foam but usually it was white foam. I was cleaning his ears and found a weird dark freckle that he freaked out when I touched he's usually fine with an ear cleaning. Could this all be related? Once he was done liking he's been acting normal

Your cat has some very typical symptoms that makes me suspect of hyperthyroidism, although the age don't quite fit (usually starts at an older age). Other options are IBD, pancreatitis and lymphoma. You need to take Buddy to the vet in order to get checked and have a blood test done ASAP.
