My dog is sleeping a lot , has diarrhea , not eating … He is a small Chihuahua . Could the dog be depressed because his owner died a few months ago? He also vomited last night .

Certainly dogs can feel the loss of an owner, and it typically shows as being quieter than usual or searching for more affection from people around him. The symptoms Ganga are showing are indication of a GI illness, pancreatitis, a foreign body, or eating something rotten. Given that he has both vomiting and diarrhea, is lethargic, and isn't eating, he needs to see a vet today. The vet can diagnose what is causing his symptoms using a physical exam, routine blood tests, a urinalysis, and possible x-rays. Once a cause is found, the vet can prescribed a treatment for him. Please take him into a vet now.
