The tip of my dog's penis is not concealed. We think there is a sore developing on it. Is there something we can clean it with and put on it for tonight while we have to wait to call our vet until morning? Thank you! Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 11 lbs

If you have any water-based lubricant (KY Jelly, etc), you can try to apply that so that his penis may retract back into the prepuce. Otherwise you can clean it with a very dilute antiseptic solution (chlorhexidine or betadine), but as long as he is not licking at it excessively it can wait until you see your vet tomorrow.
