Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 1 day old | 1.5 lbs
Hi my puppy weighs 1.5 pounds (we checked at our local petco) and he's a month and 1 day old but in afraid he has roundworms since he's siblings did. Can we deworm him or anything to help?

There are over-the-counter dewormers such as pyrantel that will kill roundworms. These types of worms are very common in puppies. I would also recommend doing a fecal exam when it's time for Bennett's first vet visit. This will check for other parasites that pyrantel doesn't kill and then he can be treated accordingly.

Poor pup! From your description and the appearance of the worm in the photos, these are likely roundworms - this is a very common parasite in puppies. A broad-spectrum dewormer such as Strongid or Panacur can be used to treat roundworms - these can be purchased over the counter at most pet stores. Just follow the label instructions for your puppy's weight, and administer the medication as directed.
