My dog has large worms in his poop. What kind of worms are they?

Hi! I have a 10 yr old male Labrador mix with German Shepard and i noticed worms in his poo and they're quite large..

I would recommend taking Farley or a stool sample to the vet to identify what parasites he has and get approriate medication to treat him. Visible worms in the stool may be roundworms or tapeworms. While you can buy dewormers over the counter not all products will treat for all parasites. Depending on what parasite the vet may also recommend repeating the dose based on the lifecycle of the worm. Good luck and thank you for using Pet coach.
