My cat is bleeding and limping. Should I take him to the vet now?

Hi there -- we have an injured cat who seems to be bleeding from the leg/possibly the stomach area. He is also limping slightly and seems to be sensitive to the touch in the injured area. We are not sure how the injury happened. Behavior otherwise seems normal. Do we need to bring him in for emergency vet treatment?

You do need to bring him to the vet but this can wait until your regular vet opens up in the morning, it's probably an access due to fighting outside, he will need to be checked, the area will need to be clipped and cleaned and he will be given antibiotic treatment. you will need to keep him inside for about a week until he recovers completely.
