My cat is vomiting, lethargic, and losing balance. Should I go to vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 3 years and 2 months old | 10 lbs

My female cat age around 3 has been vomiting not wanting to play, and just recently began loosing her balance. She sleeps heavily sometimes and I can barely wake her up, almost lathargic. She is still very effectionat and goes outside on her leash. Anything I should watch out for? I really don't have the extra money to take her to the vet but I'd like to know if I should. Also I had her spayed about 1 and a half years ago. She is still drinking water and eating.

You definitely need to take her to the vet ASAP, it sounds like a very serious medical issue. it could be due to kidney failure, a brain condition, diabetes, cancer and many other things, some of them more treatable then others.
