What is this pimple-like bump on my Maltese's arm? Should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | spayed | 8 years and 7 months old | 7 lbs

I noticed a pimple-like bump on my maltese's arm. Its like a big insect bite. What could it be? I remember before she had one like this at the back but a tad smaller, it eventually went away (but had left a small mark like a mole)

This appears to be a little skin cyst. They get these when a gland gets blocked. It usually swells with an oily substance know a sebum. They do go away on their own and usually do not cause any problems. Regularly check the bump though. If it grows quickly, changes color, or starts to have an irregular border, then she should go to the vet.
