My spayed kitten's stitches are gone. Is her incision healing okay?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | spayed | 2 lbs

My kitten was spayed on the 28th. She had two stitches on her abdomen and I noticed last night they are not there. The incision does not look open and there is no blood. Does she need to be put under and restitched or can I use otc liquid bandage for the time being? I cannot keep her from jumping she is quite rambunctious. I am concerned she will pop stitches as often as they are put in.

At the moment the suture line looks fine, as long as it does not open she is ok to stay like this. do not let her out until it's been 10 days from the surgery, if it starts to open up take her right away to your vet and he will get it fixed.
