My cat leaves pin sized blood stains on tile floor and counters and sinks.

You need to try and find out where the bleeding comes from, it could be from his urinary tract, his gastrointestinal tract or from an injury. i would recommend taking Gabe to the vet ASAP in order to get it checked and treated, it does not matter where the bleeding is coming from - this is something that requires an urgent vet visit.
