Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 9 years and 5 months old | 15 lbs
I have a 9 1/2 year old neutered male cat who began having constipation issues two days ago. It began when he threw up a hairball, and went and layed down and didn't want to eat or get up. I have been giving him water with an eyedropper and finally got him to begin eating in small amounts and he's walking around again, but not as much as usual. He still can urinate. He had a tiny, loose BM about the size of a pea last night but that's it. I called my local vet and can not afford their services.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It is possible that he has more hardened poop stuck in his guts that is making him uncomfortable. I would recommend trying to increase his water intake to try to rehydrate the guts to help the poop pass through. You can do this by feeding canned food and adding water to the food. You can also try adding/feeding canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling, just pure canned pumpkin) which will increase the fibre. You can monitor Oliver for now, but if you don't see a bowel movement in the next 48 hours I would recommend trying to get Oliver into a vet, as he might need an enema. Best of luck with Oliver.
