My puppy has diarrhea, eating normally, but seems sad. What to do?

My 3 pound puppy had diarrhea today.he doesn't seem to have lost any weight and he eats and drinks normally. He's a little sad and im kinda worried.what should I do. Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | 3 lbs

However, diarrhea in a puppy is concerning as it can be indicative if gastrointestinal infections such as parvovirus. Other possibilities include intestinal parasites or even dietary indiscretion. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment of this based on findings. The sooner these conditions are treated the better generally. At the very least they can start him on an anti-diarrhea medication. Good luck!
