What paint is safe to use indoors with a pet bird like a canary?

Is there any Brand of Indoor Paint and Stain you can use near a Canary? He would be about 18 feet away from the painting area. Pet's info: Bird | Unknown - Bird | Male | unneutered

Any paint that is labeled very low or zero VOCs (volatile organic compounds ) would be OK, but to be safe, move Ringo out of the room totally & make sure there are at least a couple of open windows for a couple of hours after you finish painting.
